As is the case every year, on July 1, 2017, various form revisions were introduced, including the Private Well and/or Septic Contingency Addendum. For various reasons, this particular form was problematic. The form has been revised by removing the option in the septic contingency for the seller to conduct and pay for the septic inspection. The removal of this option harmonizes the rest of the form language and reconciles the awkward contingency structure when the seller option was selected.
